Opera Bar, Sydney

Had a fabulous night out with new friends on Saturday evening! The partner is away so I decided to go out and play!!
We went to the famous Opera Bar, situated under the famous Opera House, opposite the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. You can't beat that now can you. The atmosphere in this bar is just amazing, you have really good foot tapping music in the background that is not loud to the point where you have to shout to your mates (but the foot tapping becomes booty shaking after a few glasses of bubbles haha) The option of an outside or inside bar in a medium sized venue means your not queuing 75% of your night! and your sipping your drink in minutes!
I never did eat at the Opera Bar but I will be making a trip for food at some point as from what I have heard the food is amazing! although for New Years Eve I was here and the canapes I had where awesome!! the fish - fresh, the burgers juicy and the Prawn Toast - the best! I do feel that you half to walk a way to the men's toilets and the women's is a bit closer and when you order a cocktail you are given a number and you are pushed to the side where the cocktail maker is and wait around for one but other than that the venue and atmosphere is amazing.
during the day when the sun is glistening over the harbour waters and the Sydney Harbour bridge is in sight, they usually have a live act one and some of these acts are amazing! from Jazz to soul to a bit of indie music! they cater for all tastes.
Whether its a quiet drink with friends, a catch up dinner or a work lunch meeting this place is perfect! Close to all transport and very close to ferry stations for those all important last ferries homes. A taxi to Manly costs about $48 which isn't to bad!
